HD Reach, a proud member of the Movement Disorders Policy Coalition, provides access to health care, education and social assistance for those affected by Huntington’s disease.
Huntington’s is a neurodegenerative disease that impacts a patient’s movement, thinking and behavior. Because the illness is tied to genetics, the diagnosis of one patient impacts an entire family. Since its founding in 2009, HD Reach has been dedicated to improving the care and quality of life for families impacted by Huntington’s. Their work is rooted in sustainability, innovation and empathy.
HD Ready helps families tackle the challenges of living with Huntington’s by connecting them with resources like genetic testing, support groups and medical care.
“I have seen the great value HD Reach provides to families affected by Huntington’s disease,” says Chad Merrell, the Chair of HD Reach’s Board. As someone whose family is impacted, it’s a privilege to dedicate himself to “the great mission of the organization.”
Families with Huntington’s disease and anyone interested in learning about HD are welcome to join HD Reach’s upcoming educational series, “The Road Ahead.” Registration is located at conference.hdreach.org.
The Movement Disorders Policy Coalition is proud to stand with HD Reach and provide support for families impacted by Huntington’s disease.
