For Mental Health Awareness Month, the Movement Disorders Policy Coalition is proud to highlight the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance. Depression and bipolar disorder affect over 21 million Americans and account for over 50% of the nation’s suicides every year. Through an extensive network of in-person and online resources, the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance provides hope, help, support and education to people with mood disorders.

“Our organization is dedicated to offering the highest quality support and education to individuals with mood disorders and their families,” said Michael Pollock, CEO of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance. “We are proud to join forces with the Movement Disorders Policy Coalition to spread awareness for mood disorders patients.”

The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance serves millions of people each year through online and print resources, and nearly 600 support groups. They offer peer-based, wellness-oriented support and empowering services, as well as accessible information about depression and bipolar disorder.

The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance is nationally recognized for their peer support specialist training services, mental health advocacy work, and expansive peer support network.
